Terilyn Peralta, 24, Killed in Modesto Car Accident on Highway 99
MODESTO (January 2, 2019) – A driver killed after an alleged wrong-way crash on Highway 99 on December 22 has been identified as Terilyn Peralta, according to The Modesto Bee and KCRA.
The 24-year-old Salida woman was a victim of the deadly accident which was reported at 12:34 a.m., just north of Pelandale Avenue.
As per the reports, California Highway Patrol said Peralta was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe south on Highway 99 when she was struck by a 2004 GMC Yukon which was driving the wrong-way at the time.
Prior to hitting the Tahoe, the Yukon was allegedly traveling north in the southbound lanes of the highway 99 and then side-swiped a 1997 Toyota.

Both the Chevrolet and the GMC become fully engulfed in flames upon impact. Peralta was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motorist driving in the wrong direction and possibly a child passenger also died in the wreck. Their names have not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, one of the two occupants of the Toyota was hurt and taken to the hospital for precaution. A GoFundMe page has been created to help with Peralta’s funeral expenses and her family.
The incident remains under investigation.
