Alleged DUI Collision on Detective Kent Haws Memorial Highway Thursday
Terra Bella, CA (January 27, 2022) – At least one person suffered serious injuries following a suspected DUI crash that occurred on State Route 65.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a semi truck and a maroon pickup collided on SR-65, also known as Detective Kent Haws Memorial Highway. Officials mentioned the crash took place near Avenue 95 in Terra Bella.
Shortly after 12:17 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the site. First responders found the pickup and truck with significant damage. Paramedics immediately attended to all possible victims in the wreck. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained major trauma as a result of the incident.
Officers later mentioned one driver involved in the accident showed signs of intoxication. Additional details on the DUI suspect have not been discussed thus far.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the collision on State Route 65 in Terra Bella.
