Driver Killed in Hinkley Crash with Semi-Truck
HINKLEY, Calif. (August 4, 2021) — Terry English, 32, of Barstow, died in a Hinkley collision with a semi-truck early Wednesday at Community Boulevard and Lenwood Road, just east of the Hinkley Dairy.
A big rig truck collided with a car driven by Terry English about 4:09 a.m. on August 3rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported the two vehicles collided due to unknown reasons.
The driver suffered fatal injuries in the crash and died at the scene about 4:36 a.m., according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
However, police did not provide any specific details about the vehicle involved in the truck accident.
Tow trucks removed both damaged vehicles from the intersection. Also, an Edison pole was knocked down at the intersection, but remained hanging by its wires.
Meanwhile, investigators seek to determine liability for the deadly crash. The family has a Go Fund Me page to raise funds for a funeral for Mr. English.
