Terry Kaul Hit by Drunk Driver in Coachella Crash
COACHELLA (August 10, 2017)- According to the Desert Sun, a deadly DUI crash left a woman identified as Terry Kaul, 64, of San Diego, with fatal injuries Sunday, August 6.
The incident took place at roughly 12:43 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 86 and Avenue 50.
The driver of a silver sedan ID’ed as Christian Torres blew through a red light and caused the wreck colliding with the victim’s vehicle, Terry Kaul.
Kaul sustained grave injuries and was airlifted to Desert Regional Med Center, where she sadly succumbed to her injuries to following afternoon on Monday.
Christian Torres Arrested for DUI Crash
Per the Desert Sun, Torres was determined to have been under the influence by almost four times the legal limit as he blew a .31. Police official indicated that Torres had a current warrant out for his arrest after missing court for two previous DUI incidents.
Torres has since been arrested and will be arraigned in court Wednesday as he will face serious charges including gross vehicular manslaughter.
