Woman, 20, Died in Head-on Crash in Cambria
CAMBRIA, Calif. (May 21, 2024) — Terry Knight, 56, and Kim Fanaras, 59, were both injured in a head-on crash on Highway 1, just north of Burton Drive on Sunday in the Cambria area.
Also, a 20-year-old Rocklin woman died and her 19-year-old passenger was injured in the crash.
The Rocklin woman reportedly crashed into the 56-year-old Bakersfield man’s vehicle at around 3:20 p.m. on May 19th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the young woman died in the crash after her vehicle allegedly swerved into the path of the man’s southbound vehicle. The woman’s 19-year-old passenger, who is from Flagstaff, Arizona, was taken to a hospital with major injuries.
Terry Knight and his passenger, Kim Fanaras both survived and were taken to a hospital where he was treated for major injuries and the woman for moderate injuries.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Cambria crash on Highway 1.
