Fatal Truck Accident in Alley Near Emerald Ave in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (August 1, 2018) — Terry Marlowe McAllister, 52, of San Diego, died Sunday when she was struck by the rear tires of a semi-tractor trailer truck in an alley just south of 1600 Emerald Avenue, according to the San Diego County Sheriff Coroner.
The incident took place about 1:19 p.m. Police reported that the woman was near a parked truck that moved forward and struck her. The driver had been given clearance for delivery at an adjacent store and put the vehicle in drive when she was struck by its rear tire.
Paramedics responded and attempted lifesaving procedures, but were unable to help the woman. Her death was pronounced at the scene just minutes later at 1:33 p.m.
Traffic Accident Investigation
At this time, police are reviewing the facts of this horrible accident to determine fault.
