Fresno Unified School District Employee Arrested
FRESNO, Calif. (June 19, 2020) — Terry McCoy, 43, a Fresno school employee and group home counselor, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 years old as well as two counts of forceful sex penetration.
The suspect is a Fresno Unified School District employee who is suspected of engaging in forcible sex with a minor, according to a Fresno Police Department news release.
McCoy, who has confessed to the allegations, has been working as a noon time aide for Fresno Unified, police said. He is also listed as a being a basketball coach for the district’s 2020 elementary school league.
The suspect also worked as a group home counselor for troubled teens. It’s unknown at this time who the alleged victim was and whether or not they met McCoy at one of the schools or the group home he works at.
McCoy has worked for Fresno Unified since 2004 and the district has placed him on administrative leave.
