Minor Injury Collision Involving Trash Truck in Rancho Santa Fe

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. (April 2, 2025) — A minor injury crash involving a car and garbage truck occurred Wednesday on Del Dios Highway near El Camino Del Norte in Rancho Santa Fe.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash, reported at approximately 2:09 PM on April 2nd, involved a red Tesla and a the trash truck.

The Tesla collided with the trash truck resulting in minor injuries. Fire crews responded and police closed down all but one traffic lane.

Tow trucks were dispatched to clear the vehicles and police are heading up an investigation into liability.
