Woman Hurt in Jamboree Road Crash
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (July 24, 2018) – A woman was injured Monday morning after a driver in a Tesla slammed their vehicle into a building at 3601 Jamboree Road, according to the Newport Beach Police Department.
The car versus pedestrian accident took place about 9:45 a.m. between a nail salon and a beauty supply store. The woman, who had been standing near the building when the vehicle crashed into it, suffered minor injuries including cuts and scrapes. The driver did not get injured in the collision.
The Newport Beach Police Department is heading up the investigation.

At this time, it’s apparent that the driver is responsible for the collision. Police say the Tesla was not on auto-pilot at the time of the crash.
