Traffic Collision on I-605 North Involves Several Vehicles

San Gabriel Valley, CA (March 13, 2025) – A crash involving a Tesla and a pickup truck happened Thursday on the northbound I-605 Freeway, just south of Live Oak Avenue in Irwindale.

The traffic collision happened in the San Gabriel Valley area around 12:30 PM on March 13, 2025, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a silver Ford F-150 pickup truck spun out in the fast lane and hit the center divider wall. The vehicle was facing the wrong way when the driver exited the vehicle, but was then hit by an oncoming black Tesla Model 3, followed by a second vehicle whose driver fled the scene, the report said. The Tesla driver stopped after the crash.

The driver of the F-150, who was seen limping after the accident, was able to walk away from the collision. However, paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to provide the person with medical assistance as requested.

Tow trucks from Navarro’s and Jan’s Towing responded to remove the vehicles.

At this time, authorities are still searching for the driver of the vehicle that fled the scene. Witnesses or anyone with additional information about the Irwindale crash on the I-605 Freeway are urged to contact local law enforcement.

The CHP has since cleared the scene, and the lanes are expected to reopen shortly. Drivers are advised to avoid the area to prevent further delays.
