Woman Killed in Crash at Eucalyptus and Hesperia
HESPERIA, Calif. (Nov. 9, 2018) — Thea Fracasse Payne has died in a pedestrian accident at Eucalyptus Street and Hesperia Road, according to the Victor Valley News.
The woman, who is a mother of five and has four grandchildren, was struck by a vehicle early Wednesday morning about 1:19 a.m.
The woman was found laying in the center left-turn lane of Hesperia Road, just north of K&G Liquor and she died at the scene.
Police were told the woman had been walking in the southbound lane of Hesperia Road before she was struck by a gray 2006 BMW 750i that was heading in the same direction.
The driver of the BMW stopped after the collision and was questioned by the Major Accident Investigation Team. They are looking into whether or not alcohol or speed were factors.

Fatal Accident Investigation
Police are heading up an investigation into the cause of this crash and will examine the evidence at the scene, take measurements and speak to those involved as well as witnesses. The family of Thea Payne may consider filing a wrongful death claim to recover their financial losses.
