Sacramento Motorcycle Rider Killed on State Route 50
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (January 25, 2021) – Theodore Fong, 21, of Sacramento, died in a motorcycle versus pickup truck accident on State Route Highway 50 at the 65th Street off ramp.
The collision happened just before 11 a.m. on Jan. 21st, according to the California Highway Patrol. The young man riding a motorcycle collided with a white GMC truck in the westbound lanes of US-50, also known as Lincoln Highway.
Paramedics responded to help those who were injured, but sadly Theodore Fong died at the scene. His identity was released by the Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner on their website.
Investigators are seeking to determine fault for the deadly collision. It’s unknown at this time what led up to the two vehicles colliding.
Fong is survived by his parents, a twin sister and an older brother, according to a Go Fund Me Page raising money to pay for his funeral. He was attending Sierra College Fire Academy in pursuit of his dream to become a firefighter. He was also passionate about CrossFit and was a longtime member of Aquila Fitness. He aspired to eventually win American Ninja Warrior, according to the gym’s Facebook page.
