THERMAL, California (September 16, 2015) — Two people suffered major injuries Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Pierce Street, just south of Avenue 63, a report by the CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters.
The crash was reported at 8:41 a.m. when a driver lost control of the vehicle and it rolled over at the intersection. The vehicle suffered heavy damage and firefighters used extensive extrication methods to free the two victims trapped inside the car. It took roughly 20 minutes to get the two people out of the vehicle.
Paramedics transported the two people to a local hospital by ground ambulance where they were treated for major injuries.
A full investigation into the cause of the crash is underway by police.
