2 Injured in Thermal Crash at Highway 86 and Avenue 70

THERMAL, CA (August 23, 2022) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash at Highway 86 and Avenue 70 in Thermal.

The Riverside County Fire Department first logged the accident on Monday night. Officers reported the wreck on August 22 at about 10:16 p.m.

Cal Fire said the incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Thermal. The cars crashed on southbound Highway 86 at the intersection with Avenue 70.

2 Vehicles Collide

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found two people hurt. One of them sustained major injuries while the other obtained minor injuries as a result of the collision.

An air ambulance flew one patient while a ground ambulance rushed the second person to a hospital treatment. The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Highway 86 and Avenue 70 to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Thermal crash is still under investigation.
