1 Killed, 1 Injured in Thermal Crash at Harrison and Pierce Streets
THERMAL, CA (May 25, 2023) – A crash killed one person and injured another at Harrison Street and Pierce Street in Thermal.
According to The Desert Sun and My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on May 25 at about 2:49 p.m.
The incident happened when two cars collided for an unknown reason in Thermal near Oasis. The vehicles crashed at the intersection of Harrison and Pierce streets.
2 Cars Collide
The California Highway Patrol described the cars involved as a Ford Ranger and a Toyota Corolla. One of them rolled over upon impact and landed on its roof.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and pronounced one occupant dead at the scene. Another individual ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Harrison and Pierce streets to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the Thermal crash is still under investigation.
