THERMAL, California (March 15, 2016) — Five people who were injured in a school bus crash were taken to hospitals for treatment of minor injuries following the collision Tuesday morning at 60th Avenue and Polk Street, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The 6:27 a.m. crash involved a second vehicle. One of the injured included a man named Ignacio Centeno aged 35 to 40 years old who was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment of undisclosed injuries. The injured were also taken to JFK Memorial Hospital in Indio for treatment. It’s not clear in the report if these were students, nor their corresponding ages.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and will determine liability.
