Thomas Bauman, 33, Injured in Highway 99 Accident Near R Street
MERCED (November 30, 2017) – One person was injured in a traffic collision on Highway 99, just south of R Street off-ramp, according to Merced Sun-Star.
On Tuesday, at approximately 8:16 a.m., a 2016 Freightliner pulling a trailer collided with a 2008 Ford F-250 driven by 33-year-old Thomas Aaron Bauman.
First responders to the accident scene immediately attended to Bauman who reportedly was hurt following the crash. The Ceres resident was then taken to Memorial Medical Centre in Modesto for treatment of minor injuries.
California Highway Patrol said the truck driver was identified as 63-year-old Norco resident Roger Lee Miller. Officials added that Miller was unharmed in the wreck.
At this time, investigators are still working on determining the precise circumstances that led to the collision.
This accident is the first of two collisions that occurred subsequently Tuesday morning on Highway 99.
