Motorcyclist Identified in Fatal Temecula Collision
TEMECULA, CA (Oct. 22, 2024) — Thomas J. Flynn, 55, died in a motorcycle accident Monday involving another motorist on Rainbow Canyon Road in Temecula.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 12:07 p.m. on Oct. 21st, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
The motorcyclist and a car collided due to unknown circumstances, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department report.
Paramedics responded, but the injured motorcyclist died at the scene around 12:21 p.m., the report said.
Investigators working on the case to determine fault.
Police closed down both Rainbow Valley Road and Rainbow Canyon Road between the Riverside County Line and the Temecula Creek Golf Course, according to The Patch.
TJ Flynn Was Home-Run King at Fallbrook High School
Thomas J. Flynn made history back in the late 1980s at San Diego’s Fallbrook High School as one of its all-time, single-season high school sluggers.
According to an article in the Los Angeles Times back in 1987, TJ Flynn was a high school senior right fielder who hit 13 home runs in the spring of that year. It was more than any other player in one season in San Diego County history, the report said. He still holds this record today.
