Thomas Hinojosa, 47, ID’d as Suspect in Marysville DUI Crash on Simpson Lane
MARYSVILLE, CA (May 14, 2022) – Authorities detained Thomas Hinojosa after a DUI crash on Simpson Lane in Marysville.
The California Highway Patrol determined that the 47-year-old Marysville man was under the influence of alcohol on Friday afternoon.
The incident began when Thomas Hinojosa was driving a truck south on Simpson Lane in Marysville. At the same time, another truck was going north.

CHP said Thomas Hinojosa veered into the opposite lane and then struck the other vehicle. The two crashed just north of Simpson Dantoni Lane.
Both trucks obtained major front-end damage due to the impact of the collision. Thomas Hinojosa and the second driver, 30-year-old Marysville resident Julie Lovell, ended up hurt as a result of the crash.
Medical personnel soon took the patients to the Rideout Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. The Action News Now wrote that the accident took place on May 13 at around 4:26 p.m.
Meanwhile, CHP arrested and booked Thomas Hinojosa into the Yuba County Jail on the charge of DUI. The Marysville DUI crash is still under investigation.
