Hit-and-run Driver Arrested; Bicyclist Dies in Torrance Crash
TORRANCE, Calif. (Sept. 17, 2018) – Thomas Hudson, 37, of Rancho Palos Verdes, has been arrested after a hit-and-run fatality was linked to his 2009 Toyota 4Runner.
Jonathan Valbuena, 32, was riding a bicycle last when he was allegedly struck and killed by the suspected hit-and-run driver.
The bicyclist was struck down about 5 a.m. at Hawthorne Boulevard and 227th Street,
The Torrance Police Department responded, but Mr. Valbuena died at the scene, police said. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a tan or light gold 2006-09 Toyota 4-Runner SUV. Police investigated many tips and later located the suspect and his vehicle.

It’s unknown at this time who is responsible for this horrible collision. There are many unanswered questions, but police do have evidence that may help them solve this crime. These criminals are often found and held responsible to the victim or their family.
