Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Highway 14
Mojave, CA (May 15, 2023) – Thomas Michael Readel, a 47-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on State Route Highway 14.
The Bakersfield Now News reported a vehicle struck a male party on SR-14 just south of Highway 58 Business east. Pending confirmation, the make and model of the car involved in the crash have not been revealed thus far.
Our sources indicated the collision took place on April 29, Saturday, around 12:35 a.m.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Mojave
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the pedestrian lying on the ground. Responding paramedics performed life-saving efforts to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The Kern County coroner’s office later identified the deceased as Thomas Michael Readel, of Norwalk.
No immediate information was available on the driver involved in the unfortunate event. At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the deadly accident happened on State Route Highway 14 in Mojave.
