Thomas Henry Pierson, 40, Fatally Struck by Vehicle on 4th Street Monday
Bakersfield, CA (July 6, 2021) – Thomas Henry Pierson, a 40-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on 4th Street early Monday morning.
The KGET News reported a vehicle struck a male party in the 600 block of 4th Street. Primary reports indicated the horrible crash took place in front of McKinley Elementary School at about 12:55 a.m.
According to the article published online, the driver stopped after accidentally hitting the pedestrian. The man then exited their vehicle to check on the victim. In the process, a second driver failed to slow down and hit both the pedestrian and the first driver involved in the collision.
Emergency teams arrived at the location and found two men lying on the ground. Paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to the pedestrian, but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased as Thomas Henry Pierson.

Meanwhile, the first driver reportedly sustained moderate injuries from the wreck. Per local news source, an ambulance transported the patient to a local hospital for treatment.
Further investigation on the deadly pedestrian accident in Central Bakersfield is underway.
