Deadly Pedestrian Accident Near California Avenue Sunday
Riverside, CA (March 2, 2022) – Thomas Shelton, a 37-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Van Buren Boulevard.
According to My News LA, a vehicle struck a male party in the 4200 block of Van Buren Boulevard. The horrible crash took place in the area near California Avenue on February 27, Sunday.
Earlier reports indicated the pedestrian stepped into traffic on a busy corridor in Riverside. The article published online mentioned the driver of a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta did not have time to stop, and eventually hit the man on the roadway.

Authorities later identified the deceased as Thomas Shelton, of Riverside. Responding paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene shortly after 11:10 p.m.
Meanwhile, the 58-year-old Riverside woman driving the Volkswagen appeared unharmed after the collision.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening to evening to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the deadly accident.
