Bicyclist Hurt in Crash on Northbound 101 Freeway
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (May 26, 2021) — A Thousand Oaks bicycle accident happened Wednesday afternoon at the 101 Freeway and Lynn Road.
A white SUV struck the bicycle rider about 1:47 p.m. due to unknown circumstances.
SUV Hits Bike Rider in Thousand Oaks
The bike rider went down in traffic lanes and suffered undisclosed injuries. Also, the Ventura County Fire Department responded to the crash scene to help the injured rider and transport the person to Los Robles Regional Medical Center, the California Highway Patrol reports. The age and gender of the injured bicycle rider is unknown at this time. Furthermore, authorities did not release the names of those involved.
Meanwhile, the driver in the SUV stopped and cooperated with police at the scene. The Lynn Road off ramp was closed to traffic.
Finally, investigators seek to determine liability for the Thousand Oaks bicycle accident.
