1 Seriously Injured in Thousand Oaks Crash on Highway 101 Near Highway 23
THOUSAND OAKS, CA (February 7, 2022) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on Highway 101 near Highway 23 in Thousand Oaks.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Monday morning. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 8:40 a.m.
The incident happened when three vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed on northbound Highway 101, just north of Highway 23, in Thousand Oaks.
Multiple Cars Collide
CHP described the cars as a gray Honda, a white Mercedes and a Toyota. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of Highway 101 to shut down near Highway 23 following the wreck.
The cause of the Thousand Oaks crash is still under investigation.
