1 Seriously Injured in Thousand Oaks Crash on Highway 101 Near Westlake
THOUSAND OAKS, CA (January 16, 2022) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on Highway 101 near Westlake Boulevard in Thousand Oaks.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck took place early Sunday. Officers reported the accident at about 1:07 a.m.
The incident happened when three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Thousand Oaks. They crashed on northbound Highway 101, just south of Westlake Boulevard.
Multiple Cars Collide
CHP described the cars as a white Ford Mustang and a gray Kia Rio and a possible black SUV. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of Highway 101 to shut down near Westlake following the wreck.
The cause of the Thousand Oaks crash is still under investigation.
