Pedestrian Killed in Suspected Hit-and-Run Collision Near Clay Court
Thousand Oaks, CA (June 8, 2022) – A 77-year-old man died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, the Ventura County Star News reported.
Our sources indicated a vehicle struck the male party in the area just west of Clay Court. Preliminary investigation revealed the man was crossing the street as part of a group of pedestrians. While in the roadway, an oncoming vehicle failed to stop and hit the victim. The force from the impact resulted in serious injuries to the pedestrian.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Thousand Oaks Boulevard
According to the article published online, paramedics rushed the injured party to the hospital for treatment. Sadly, the patient succumbed to his injuries and eventually passed away. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, officials confirmed the motorist involved in the unfortunate event fled the scene. Detectives continue to gather more information to identity and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
