At Least 1 Hurt in Car Accident on Highway 101 Tuesday
Thousand Oaks, CA (April 15, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run collision occurred Tuesday afternoon on U.S. Route 101 in Thousand Oaks, according to the California Highway Patrol log.
Earlier reports indicated multiple vehicles crashed for an unknown reason in the northbound side of Highway 101 at Moorpark Road. Officials said a green automobile involved in the accident ended up rolling down the hillside along the freeway.
The crash took place shortly before 4:50 p.m.
When medical personnel arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to all possible victims. Paramedics later confirmed one person suffered injuries as a result of the incident. However, the name and extent of trauma of the victim remained undisclosed.

The CHP dispatch mentioned two or more parties involved in the mishap fled the scene before police arrived. Authorities briefly described the hit-and-run suspects as a black juvenile male, and a hispanic adult female.
At the moment, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to identity and locate the hit-and-run suspects in the Thousand Oaks car crash. Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
