Major Injury Crash Involving Dump Truck on I-10 Freeway

THOUSAND PALMS, CA (Oct. 24, 2023) – A two-vehicle Thousand Palms crash involving a dump truck happened Tuesday morning on the eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway, just west of Bob Hope Drive.

The collision occurred at around 8:18 a.m. on Oct. 24th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the drivers of a white Toyota Tundra pickup truck and a semi-dump truck were involved.

It happened in the No. 4 lane of the freeway.

CAL Fire sent paramedics to the scene to help those injured. One person was transported to a hospital with major injuries.

Meanwhile, both of the tow trucks were removed from the roadway.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash on the 10 Freeway in Thousand Palms.
