Thousand Palms crash Ramon Vista
1 Killed, 2 Injured in Thousand Palms Crash at Ramon Road and Vista Del Sol
THOUSAND OAKS, CA (May 14, 2021) – A head-on crash at Ramon Road and Vista Del Sol killed one person and injured two others in Thousand Palms.
According to The Desert Sun and My News LA, the tragic accident occurred on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:07 p.m.
The incident happened when a Honda Civic crossed over the double yellow line for an unknown reason. The 30-year-old Hispanic man driving the Honda then slammed head-on into another vehicle.
The California Highway Patrol said the two crashed at the intersection of Ramon Road and Vista Del Sol in Thousand Palms.
Alcohol Factor in Car Collision
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and pronounced one individual dead at the scene. CHP described the victim as the driver of the car struck head-on by the other motorist.
Two other people ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed them to hospitals for treatment of moderate to major injuries.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, CHP believed that alcohol played a role in the accident.
Officials forced the intersection to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Thousand Palms crash is still under investigation.
