THOUSAND PALMS, California (Tuesday, January 5, 2016) – Firefighters conducted a water rescue when a pickup truck crashed into two feet of moving water within a golf course just off the intersection of Broadmoor and Laura Drives this evening. Initial reports state that the occupants were not seriously injured. However they could not emerge from the vehicle on their own, for reasons that remain unclear.
The accident took place within the Tri-Palms Estates mobile-home park and the rescue operation took at least ten minutes to complete.
The incident took place this evening at about 6:22 p.m., according to an incident report by the Riverside County Fire Department. No further details have been released yet.
