Three-Vehicle Crash I-10 Freeway and 22nd Street in Banning

Ford F-350 Truck, Tesla, Chevy Malibu Injury Collision

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 2, 2026) — A crash involving three vehicles happened Wednesday afternoon on the westbound Interstate 10 Freeway, just east of South 22nd Street in Banning.

The multi-vehicle collision occurred on the WB I-10 around 1:47 p.m. on Sept. 2nd, in Riverside County, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch logs. Police reported the drivers of a white Chevrolet Malibu sedan, a white Tesla, a white Tesla, and a Ford F-350 stake bed truck were involved.

The CHP report stated there were “pieces of the vehicle in the No. 2 lane.” Authorities also closed down the No. 4 lane due to the crash involving major damage to the vehicles with airbags deployed.

Paramedics responded and transported at least one injured person to Loma Linda Medical Center with complaints of pain, the report said.

Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles including the truck with a twisted axle.

Detectives are working to determine fault for the crash on the Interstate 10 Freeway in Banning.
