Tiger Woods, 45, Hospitalized After Violent Car Accident at Hawthorne Boulevard and Blackhorse Road
Rancho Palos Verdes, CA (February 23, 2021) – 45-year-old Tiger Woods suffered serious injuries following a car crash in the area of Hawthorne Boulevard and Blackhorse Road.
The KTLA5 News reported Tiger Woods was driving an SUV traveling on the border of Rancho Palos Verdes and Rolling Hills Estates. When the 2021 Genesis GV80 SUV approached the intersection, Tiger Woods apparently lost control of the vehicle. As a result, the SUV crashed into the center median. The force from the impact caused the Genesis to veer into the opposite direction, smash into a tree, and rollover multiple times.
Shortly after 7:15 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the site and found Tiger Woods trapped in the wreckage. Emergency crews reportedly used a hand tool to remove the front windshield and extricate the victim out of the car.

An ambulance transported the injured golfer to nearby Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Our sources confirmed Tiger Woods underwent surgery for injuries including: multiple open fractures to his lower right leg. The news artilce mentioned doctors had to place a rod in his tibia; and screws and pins in his ankle for stability.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
