Passenger Dies in Collision at Avenue F and 60th Street West
Lancaster, CA (October 5, 2022) – Timothy Doerr, a 28-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Avenue F and 60th Street West.
The Antelope Valley Times News reported Doerr, of Lancaster, was a passenger in a Dodge truck traveling east on Avenue F. Preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the Dodge attempted to pass a Mazda 3 driving ahead.
In the process overtaking, the Mazda made left turn onto northbound 60th Street West. Officials said the Dodge slammed into the Mazda. The force from the impact caused the Dogde to roll over several times on the north shoulder of Avenue F.
Emergency crews arrived at the crash site shortly after 7:39 p.m. First responders found the passenger in the front-seat of the Dodge unconscious. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the victim sadly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office later identified the deceased as Timothy Doerr.
Meanwhile, the drivers of both the Dodge and Mazda stayed in the area and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives handling the case continue to work to determine the precise cause of the deadly accident that happened in Lancaster.
