Timothy Hamano, 64, Suspect in Fatal Hit-and-Run Collision on Park Boulevard
Oakland, CA (July 8, 2021) – Police arrested 64-year-old Timothy Hamano in relation with a deadly hit-and-run crash on Park Boulevard on May 9.
According to the East Bay Times, Timothy Hamano showed signs of intoxication while driving his Lexus GS. While traveling on Park Boulevard, the driver reportedly failed to navigate a turn. Timothy Hamano allowed the vehicle to jump onto the sidewalk, and struck a male party standing in the area.

Our sources confirmed the pedestrian, a 41-year-old man, sadly died as a result of the collision. It remained unclear whether the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene or at a hospital.
Meanwhile, Timothy Hamano reportedly fled the scene on foot after the catastrophic incident. The hit-and-run suspect left a passenger in the Lexus, his wife. Officials said the woman eventually identified her husband as the suspect.
Authorities said Timothy Hamano turned himself a day after the crash. Alameda County district attorney’s office said the suspect was charged with vehicular manslaughter; along with an enhancement alleging he fled the scene of the wreck.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
