Man Hit and Injured by Vehicle in front of Dollar General Store
Jamestown, CA (May 25, 2022) – Timothy Allen Sheffield, a 43-year-old man, suffered injuries following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Highway 108/49.
According to My Motherlode News, Sheffield was standing on the eastbound side of the highway attempting to to cross the roadway. When the pedestrian stepped into the traffic lanes, a 2016 Ford Focus struck him. Earlier reports indicated the collision happened when the driver of the Ford made a left turn onto the highway; from the parking lot of the Dollar General store.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Highway 108/49 in Jamestown
Emergency crews arrived at the crash site shortly after 10 a.m. Responding paramedics found Timothy Sheffield lying within the eastbound lanes of the highway. The article published online mentioned the pedestrian sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. Given his condition, an air ambulance transported the patient to Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
Meanwhile, the 73-year-old woman driving the Ford appeared unharmed after the collision.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate the precise cause of the pedestrian accident on Highway 108/49 in Jamestown.
