Woman, 56, Fatally Struck by Garage Truck at California-Market Alley Friday
Redding, CA (November 3, 2021) – Tina Kay Michaels, a 56-year-old woman, died following a collision that occurred in the area of Trinity and Market Street on October 29.
According to Action News Now, Tina Michaels was sleeping in the California-Market alleyway in Redding. At approximately 8 a.m., a garbage truck reportedly run over the woman.
Preliminary investigation revealed the garbage truck operator just finished emptying a dumpster in the alley. Shortly after, the truck made a right turn to travel north at the intersection of Trinity and Market.
The truck driver apparently did not see the sleeping woman, and hit her.

When emergency teams arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to the victim. Sadly, Tina Michaels succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene.
The operator of the garbage truck appeared unharmed after the crash.
Further investigation on the catastrophic incident is ongoing.
