Car vs. Big Rig Accident Near Alta Sierra Drive Tuesday
Alta Sierra, CA (March 8, 2022) – Tina Terrell, a 48-year-old woman, suffered fatal injuries following a traffic collision that occurred on Highway 49.
According to KNCO News, Terrell was behind the wheel of a pickup traveling on the highway Tuesday morning. Earlier reports indicated a deer suddenly ran across the freeway and went directly into the path of Terrell. Our sources indicated the female driver swerved to avoid hitting the deer. However, the woman ended up losing control of the pickup and ended up crashing into a big rig.

The article published online confirmed the woman sadly died as a result of the collision. Authorities later identified the deceased as Tina Terrell, of Grass Valley.
Officers mentioned the force from the impact caused one fuel tank of the big rig to rupture. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the driver of the truck for minor injuries sustained in the accident.
At this time, detectives continue to work to determine liability in the unfortunate event. Detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the fatal crash on highway 49 in Alta Sierra.
