Tisha Breda, 50, Injured in San Luis Obispo Crash Near Highway 1 and Highland Drive
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (September 11, 2021) – Tisha Breda was injured after a fatal crash near Highway 1 and Highland Drive in San Luis Obispo.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 50-year-old Cambria woman as one of the victims in the wreck which occurred on Saturday morning.
The incident began when Tisha Leigh Breda was driving a 2006 BMW 750 in the area of Highway 1 and Highland Drive in San Luis Obispo. At the same time, a 1990 Volvo was stopped at a red light.
The Volvo entered the intersection as the signal turned green. Simultaneously, a 2010 Ford F-150 ran a red light. The pickup truck then broadsided the Volvo which hit the left front of the BMW.
Boy, 17, Killed in Car Collision
CHP said the three cars crashed near the Cal Poly campus. The Tribune and KSBY News wrote that the accident took place at about 6:45 a.m.
Tisha Breda sustained minor injuries as a result of the San Luis Obispo crash. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and treated her for her wounds.
Medical personnel rushed the 17-year-old driver of the Volvo to a medical center, where he died. The motorist in the pickup ended up with moderate injuries.
Officials took the patient to the French Hospital for treatment. CHP named the driver who caused the wreck as 79-year-old Morro Bay resident Bryan Griffiths.
