18-Month-Old Boy Fatally Struck by Vehicle in San Martin
SAN MARTIN, Santa Clara County (July 16, 2018) – A toddler was killed in a car accident Friday afternoon in San Martin, according to KSBW News.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Friday, an 18-month-old boy crawled or walked into the path of a blue Honda Accord parking in a carport.
Medical records indicated responding paramedics rendered medical aid to the child, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased before being taken to a hospital.
Meanwhile, officials briefly identified the motorist involved as an 80-year-old San Martin woman.
California Highway Patrol determined drugs or alcohol were not a factor. Further investigation on the case is underway.
