SUV Hits Bicycle Rider at Torrance Intersection
TORRANCE, Calif. (Oct. 14, 2021) — A Torrance bicycle accident happened Thursday morning at Vermont Avenue and West 223rd Street.
The collision took place about 9:01 a.m. on Oct. 14th at the Torrance intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a Chevrolet SUV reportedly struck the bicyclist due to unknown circumstances.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene to help the injured bicycle rider. The extent of the person’s injuries is unknown at this time.
Meanwhile, a tow truck responded to remove the SUV for evidence. By 11:14 a.m., the roadway reopened to traffic.
Investigators seek to determine liability for the Torrance bicycle accident.
