Hit-and-run Crash on I-405 Freeway in Torrance
TORRANCE, Calif. (Dec. 28, 2023) — A hit-and-run car accident in Torrance on the northbound Interstate 405 Freeway happened Thursday morning, just south of Artesia Boulevard.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 6:48 a.m. on Dec. 28th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a gray Toyota Corolla was allegedly driving recklessly “cutting in and out of traffic lanes” before colliding with a gray Honda Accord.
The Honda was blocking the HOV lane after the collision and the Toyota pulled to the right shoulder, the report said. A male Hispanic man in his mid-30s wearing a black sweater, blue jeans and gray boots, reportedly exited his car and began running down the Artesia off ramp.
Paramedics responded to help at least one person who sustained injuries in the collision.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash.
