Cement Truck Involved in 405 Freeway Crash in Torrance
TORRANCE, Calif. (Feb. 13, 2023) – A multi-vehicle crash involving a cement truck happened Sunday night on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Torrance.
One of the two cars involved overturned onto its side and crews had to clean up a diesel fuel spill on the freeway from the cement truck.
The crash occurred about 9:56 p.m. on Feb. 12th on the Interstate 405 Freeway, just south of Western Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The cement truck reportedly jackknifed and resulted in a fuel spill.
The Torrance Fire Department responded to help those hurt and conduct a cleanup.
Also, the CHP issued a SigAlert and closed down the southbound Nos. 2, 3 and 4 lanes until around 2:10 a.m. .
