Tow Truck Driver Seriously Injured After Struck by Car on Highway 125
SPRING VALLEY, Calif. (August 7, 2018) – A tow truck driver suffered serious injuries early Tuesday morning when he was struck by an oncoming car as he helped a disabled motorist on state Route 125, according to San Diego 10 News.
The tow truck driver was rushed to the hospital after the collision about 3:25 a.m. this morning. The victim was struck by the Chrysler sedan on the shoulder of SR-125 as he stood next to his tow truck. The man was pinned against his truck causing serious injuries to both his legs. Paramedics rushed him to Scripps Memorial Hospital where he is being treated.
The driver of the Chrysler stopped at the scene and was questioned by CHP officers. He told police that he was attempting to exit the freeway onto Jamacha Road. That’s when he collided with the tow truck driver. The collision is under investigation by police.

Traffic Accident Investigation
At this time, police are reviewing the evidence to determine fault. It appears that the driver who struck the pedestrian could be held responsible for this collision.
