Tow Truck Driver Pedestrian Critically Injured on Highway 101
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (May 7, 2020) — A tow truck driver was seriously injured when he was struck by a motorist Thursday on Highway 101 in Mountain View.
The collision took place about 7:26 a.m. on Highway 101 near the Ellis Street on ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victim suffered a broken leg and a head injury and was transported to Stanford Hospital for treatment, police said.
The white tow truck and a white BMW were blocking the right lane. The two vehicles were both towed from the scene.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash and liability.
