Man Hit on Interstate 5 Freeway
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (June 1, 2023) — A motorist struck and killed a tow truck driver standing on the Interstate 5 Freeway Wednesday night near Griffith Park.
The deadly pedestrian accident occurred around 11:15 p.m. on May 31st, according to MyNewsLA.
A driver traveling southbound on the Interstate 5 Freeway struck the victim near Zoo Drive due to unknown circumstances.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and located the critically injured man, but sadly he died on scene.
The California Highway Patrol is heading up an investigation into what happened and will determine fault for the fatal pedestrian accident.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner will identify the tow truck driver after notifying his next of kin.
