Tracy: Deadly Pedestrian Accident on State Route 132

Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man Near Greenwood Road

Tracy, CA (February 24, 2023) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred on State Route Highway 132 on February 14, Tuesday.

The Tracy Press News reported a male party attempted to cross the highway in the area just just east of Greenwood Road. While in the eastbound traffic lanes, a passing 2016 black Toyota Rav 4 struck the pedestrian. Officials said the horrible crash took place around 7:39 p.m.

Man Dies at Hospital After Pedestrian Accident on SR-132 in Tracy

When medical personnel arrived at the scene, they immediately rendered aid to the injured pedestrian. A helicopter airlifted the victim to San Joaquin General Hospital, where he later sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.

Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event remained unclear. Given that, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly accident that happened on State Route 132 in Tracy.
