At Least 1 Killed in Collision at Vernalis and Koster Road Thursday
Tracy, CA (March 17, 2022) – A deadly car accident occurred Thursday in the area of Vernalis and Koster Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, two vehicles collided at the intersection in Tracy. First responders found at the scene a GMC Yukon and a blue Ford Focus both with significant damage.

The CHP logged the crash Thursday shortly after 3:40 p.m.
When medical personnel arrived at the site, they immediately rendered aid to all possible victims in the collision. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained major trauma as a result of the crash. The victim later succumbed to their injuries, and passed away. Officials continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the fatal crash at Vernalis and Koster Road.
