1 Killed, 1 Injured in Tracy Crash on Delta Avenue Near Mac Arthur Drive
TRACY, CA (July 24, 2021) – A car crash killed one person and injured another on Delta Avenue near Mac Arthur Drive in Tracy.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident occurred on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:12 a.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Tracy. They crashed on Delta Avenue near the intersection with South Mac Arthur Drive.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars involved as a pickup truck and a Ford Fusion. One of them went 15 feet down an embankment and then became partially submerged in water.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and extricated two trapped occupants from the wreckage. They confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel treated the other patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a portion of Delta Avenue to shut down for more than half an hour following the collision. The cause of the Tracy crash is still under investigation.
