Pedestrian Killed in Tracy Crash at Grant Line Road and Orchard Parkway
TRACY, CA (August 12, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian at Grant Line Road and Orchard Parkway in Tracy.
According to an article published by the Tracy Press, the tragic accident took place late Tuesday night. Officers reported the collision at about 10:15 p.m.
The incident happened on August 9 when a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in Tracy. The driver hit him at the intersection of West Grant Line Road and Orchard Parkway.
Man, 42, Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the 42-year-old man down on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel rushed the victim to the San Joaquin County General Hospital, where he died. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police added that the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man. Officers forced the area of Grant Line and Orchard to shut down for a time following the incident.
